Welcome

Welcome to Pokemon Loud. Why "Loud"? Because that's my style!

This is a collection and gallery of all my pokemon stuff. It's meant to be a storage database for my dex and sprites that i will hopefully one day compile into a spectacular game using Game Maker. Peruse and browse, but don't steal! Everything here belongs to me. ;)

Epic...

Posted April 24, 2010

I'll have you know... that i've been sketching quite a bit recently, and a batch of pokemon in no particular order have been designed. Let met say that the mole pokemon are pretty epic (i've only drawn 2 out of 3 though...). I just don't know how to present them yet. I may just post them and then as new pokemon come in before it, i'll just shift it down. It seems like such a waste to have them already drawn and whatnot, only to not be released.

Really? Coming Soon?

Posted April 22, 2010

Probably not. But, that's okay.

I know i'm addressing crickitots on this one, but, oh well. You may or may not have noticed the recent abundance on PH (placeholder, fyi) pokemon. It's not likely that they'll be coming terribly soon, but, they're there none the less. I haven't done anything for a while, so, i thought that i could prepare myself this summer (which starts in 2 weeks, finally...) by giving myself an idea of what some future numberings and types could look like in the dex. This is so i'm not hemming and hawing over what kind of pokemon should go where. I still have a bunch of ideas that i don't know where the heck to place, but, they'll make it somewhere.

Got It!

Yes. Amidee and Agilidee are up. I'm almost for certain that Scurrel and Scuriduo aren't going to be a part of this region. So, that's all for now everybody... erm... yeah. everybody... -cricketot chirp-

Remember, no stealing the art or concepts, or Agilidee will catch you and bore holes into you. 8)

Technical Difficulties...

Posted March 17, 2010

Yes, i am now experiencing technical difficulties. My scanner is fairly old, and it has had a history of IDS (INSTANT DEATH SYNDROME). I've been trying to resurrect it after my bug pokemon were uploaded, but, i guess the coolness of them has overloaded the scanner into severe hemorrhaging and brain damage-- which is a shame, because i'm particularly proud of my bird pokemon. I'm not very good at drawing birds, and i still think Amidee and Agilidee turned out good, so that's saying a lot. I'll try to get them up asap.

I also have listed the normal pokemon; scurrel and scuriduo. I've got a larger project in mind and these critters may or may not migrate out of the region.  It seems really far off, but, i'll let you know about my big idea when i get to 75 pokemon in this region. If you're lucky, it will be when i release 50 pokemon. But, that may be when i'm going to release some forums.  But that may come sooner. Oh, i'm so indecisive!

Normalcy...

Posted March 1, 2010

After my extenuate rampage of crazy bug pokemon, i decided to tone it down a little with a single evolution common flying pokemon. That's right. One evolution. Not five.

I realize, now that i'm on my break and at other's houses, that not everyone has a scanner. This makes it much harder to reveal my precious bugs. At least until i'm at home tomorrow night. SO...

As an added bonus, Amidee, and Agilidee, our chickadee based common flying pokemon (corny names, huh?), will be uploaded along with them.

I'm getting more and more excited about this project. I've had so many ideas in my head for a new pokemon game for such a long time. And all my ideas can finally be focused into one place. I still haven't decided to go MMO on this one, or to make it into a downloadable game via gamemaker. Decisions, decisions!

Creepy Crawlies...

Posted February 26, 2010

So, i decided there weren't enough epic bugs in the pokemon world. I think that i've come up with a great compromise though.

Thus far, the greatest number of starter bug pokemon has been 6. I'm going to bring you 7. Does that seem like overkill? It is, and it isn't.

I will be introducing to you, little Reincater. This crawly little fellow does double time on the creepy (that is, if you think bug pokemon are creepy in the first place). In order to evolve, Reincater searches out skulls in order to create it's perfect cocoon. How sweet, eh? Once Reincater finds it's skull (it prefers cleaner and older skulls over fresh ones...) it wiggles it's way inside and spins silk around the skull. The skull provides wonderful protection and a very high defense in it's evolutionary stage, Crysnium. After some incubation time, the skull and the spirit from which the skull came from, fuse with our previous Reincater to hatch a new, fully evolved pokemon. What is this pokemon's name? Well, there are 5 possibilities that can emerge from Crysnium; a Bug/Ghost spider pokemon called Mandaran, a Bug/Dark mantis pokemon called Zygomant, a Bug/Psychic grasshopper pokemon called Sphenorth, a Bug/Light beetle pokemon called Occoleo, and last, but not least, a Bug/Dragon dragonfly pokemon called Tempodon. Gotta collect them all. But, there's a catch.

The way to achieve the hatching of a particular pokemon is determined by the type of skull to which Reincater fuses with. Some of these skulls may be more common than others, and some may only be obtainable further on in the journey. This is what i've done to instill some population control. You can probably imagine which ones might be rarer. -coughtempodoncough-

Anywho. These bug sketches are done and they will be up within a day or so hopefully. It's my march break, and i hope to keep on sketching some more. Still debating about my bird pokemon. We'll see!

Rawr.

See? I can achieve things. I swear.

Kuble line-art + colouring is up. Sorry about the cliche palette. I'm still working on that...

The Truth About Thornasaur

Posted February 10, 2010

I think i secretly hate him. Or, at least the design for him. And thus, i created an impasse for myself, as i don't like to reward myself with starting something new until i complete a challenge i've previously created. So, this calls for a redesign for dear old Thornasaur. Thus, i will move on to digital art for Kuble. Actually, i'm working on it as we speak. Pretty sweet, huh? I've also been sketching up a storm; some for Loud, and some for another project that i don't own to which i had made previous commitments to. What have i sketched? Well, i'll just let you in on one of them... Our elite dragons! You know... like, the three evolution beasts that usually come towards the end of the dex? Gotta come up with some better bug pokemon though. The trick is making them unique in some way...

Blehh...

Posted January 16, 2010

Well. Not much going on in the creativity front. Haven't gotten around to completing any digital art. The original electric pokemon that i was going to use for the region is going to be changed, as well as the bugs. I decided i didn't like their concepts very much, which has put me behind. But, i haven't totally fallen behind in productivity.

I've been working on a series of trainer sprites that work similarly to paper dolls. I created a couple different bases (male, female, etc.) and have been creating different eyes, mouths and hair so far. After i finish a few more hair and make an outfit or two, i'll compile an actual trainer or two and post them up in a new section. I won't post the separate parts or my worksheet; i just don't want them to get stolen. Eventually i'll put them up for free use, but while i'm developing, and my works aren't "famous", i'd rather keep it on the DL so that i have more credit behind them. I want people to see my work elsewhere and recognize it.

Yeah.

Just Kidding...

Posted December 11, 2009

Haha. So, i came up with a way better water starter species, in my opinion, and the design, is pretty rockin'. It's now based off of Lampreys, which are super freaky jawless fish that sci-fi writers i'm sure love to base aliens off of, due to their crazy rounds of teeth. Lets face it, they're super creepy. Mine are not.

Obviously, they now need new names. They will be up in a jiff.
